Explore the Peace Trail
A pilgrimage across time
The Peace Trail follows the path of the first Mennonites to settle in southeast Manitoba. From the Mennonite Landing Site on the Red River near Ste. Agathe, the trail follows 55km of dirt paths and gravel roads, with waypoints at historic and community sites, ending at the Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach. Along the trail, you’ll learn about the landscape and the area’s history of human migration and settlement, including its Indigenous and Métis roots. Explore the full trail on foot or by bike, or in segments. Check out the maps here, and learn more about the historic significance of the Peace Trail.
